3.4.1.1 Acceptable Method of Collecting Indigenous Identity Information
In order to create a safe environment for employees to feel comfortable sharing their unique diverse identities, employers should refrain from undertaking the collection of diverse identity information directly. Pehta endorses and requires the use of an Anonymized Matched Diversity Analysis (AMDA) platform for this collection. This method allows employees to share their diverse identities anonymously, outside of their employer's process to ensure identity and confidentiality are never compromised and provides a mechanism for the withdrawal of their consent, ensuring employees can opt out and remove their participation in their employer's diverse identity reporting solution without consequences.
Note: For detailed information on third-party tools that support AMDA, refer to the 'Third-party Tools' at www.pehta.org/third-party-tools.
